The company will present multiple research papers including the controversial “The Illusion of Thinking: Understanding the Strengths and Limitations of Reasoning Models via the Lens of Problem Complexity” that previously drew criticism from industry researchers. Apple is also sponsoring multiple affinity groups including Women in Machine Learning, LatinX in AI, and Queer in AI, all of which will feature Apple employees. At booth #1103, attendees will get hands-on with live demos of Apple’s machine learning initiatives covering privacy, reasoning models, and generative AI approaches. The full research lineup includes studies on instance optimality, privacy amplification, preamble techniques, starflow, end-to-end learning, and optimal data mixtures.
