Welsh Communities Rally to Preserve Historic Placenames Through National Documentation Project

Welsh communities have submitted approximately 200 historical placenames to a government preservation project within just two weeks. The initiative aims to document Welsh language names for fields, hills, and geographic features that may be missing from digital maps. According to officials, these names preserve ancient legends and stories of traditional ways of life.
